Louise Cannon

Senior Vice President, Compliance, Scotiabank

Louise Cannon has been Senior Vice President within Group Compliance, The Bank of Nova Scotia since 1994. During her career with the Bank, Louise has held a variety of positions in the fields of compliance, government relations, credit and credit administration, and corporate banking workouts and restructurings.

She is presently a member of: the Conference Board of Canada's Corporate Ethics Council; the Board of Directors, Canadian Centre for Ethics and Corporate Policy; and the Board of Trustees Queen's University and Chair of the Queen's Investment Committee. Louise is a past member of: Council, The Board of Trade of Metropolitan Toronto; the Board of Trustees, the Law for the Future Fund; the Board of Directors, The Canadian Club; the Board of Directors, the Canadian Stage Company and the Board of Directors, The Royal Canadian Yacht Club. She has also been active with the United Way.
