Thomas A. Bogart

Thomas A. Bogart is Executive Vice-President, Business Development & General Counsel of Sun Life Financial.

Mr. Bogart joined Sun Life in 1998. He has responsibility for strategic business development, law, compliance and public affairs organization-wide, as well as the corporate secretarial function. Tom Bogart obtained his LL.B in 1978 from Queen's University and was called to the Ontario Bar in 1980. He is a director of Sun Life Global Investments Inc. and the Canadian Centre for Ethics & Corporate Policy.

Mr. Bogart is a member of the Canadian Bar Association, the Association of Corporate Counsel and the Corporate Counsel Forum Advisory Board of the International Bar Association. Tom Bogart is also Chair of the Council of Corporate Champions of Culture Days, a national arts and culture participation movement.

Prior to joining Sun Life, he was a partner at Torys, a law firm in Toronto.
