Vincent C. Power

Divisional Vice-President, Corporate Affairs & Communications, Sears Canada Inc.

Mr. Power has spent over thirty years with Sears Canada, having joined the Company in 1975 while attending high school and university in Ottawa. He first joined Sears in the St. Laurent Shopping Centre store, then the Cornwall, Ontario store until 1983 when he was transferred to the Company's women's apparel buying offices located in Montreal. There, he held several positions in buying and marketing before moving to the Headquarters building in Toronto in 1989.

After assignments in Corporate Marketing, he held the position of General Merchandise Manager of Kidswear, then Automotive, and when Sears Canada purchased the T. Eaton Company in 2000, he was named National Marketing Manager, Eatons. He has held his present position as Associate Vice-President, Corporate Communications since March, 2002.

In his current role, Mr. Power is responsible for the Company's external communication activities including executive messaging, media and public relations, and internal activities such as the Company's multimedia studio and content management for SEARSnet, the company's corporate intranet. He also manages Sears community involvement program and the relationships with the charitable organizations which Sears supports.

He received his Accredited Public Relations (APR) designation from the Canadian Public Relations Society in 2006.

Board Memberships include EthicsCentre CA (Canadian Centre for Ethics & Corporate Policy) and the Toronto Chapter of the Canadian Public Relations Society. Mr. Power is also a member of the Public Affairs Forum of the Retail Council of Canada and the Council of Public Affairs Executives of the Conference Board of Canada
